What Is a Tag Sale?

"Tag Sale" is a term that's more common in the Northeast US; we use it to describe the sale of the entire contents of a house. It's like a yard or garage sale, except that it's not restricted to the yard or the garage, and you're indoors. Each item in the house that's for sale has been "tagged" with the price. You walk in the front door, pick up one of our shopping baskets, and go from room to room filling your basket with bargains. Eventually you wind up at checkout (often outside or by the back door, weather permitting), where you pay. At Assisted Moving Tag and Estate Sales, we accept cash and local checks with ID for payment. Sorry, we don't take credit or debit cards.

What is an Estate Sale?
An "Estate Sale" is very similar to a tag sale, except that the owner of the items being sold is deceased. Assisted Moving, Inc is often called upon to liquidate the assets of an estate, and our Estate Sales frequently include exciting one-of-a-kind items.

Important Notes:

Our sales always start promptly at the time advertised. As a courtesy to all our clients we do not open early or offer presales. Usually, Saturday hours are from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM, and Sunday hours are from Noon until 2:00 PM. If you would like to preview the items offered in our sales, check back periodically because we post pictures of the major items on this website.

Please note: All items are sold as is and where is - buyer is responsible for moving purchases. We can make arrangements for you to pick up later if necessary, as long as you've paid for the item. Cash and local checks with ID accepted; sorry, no credit or debit cards.

What about those 2-part tear-off tags?

Sometimes you will find a larger tag on larger items, with a part that can be torn off. These are usually on items that are too large or heavy to be carried to checkout. If you want to buy that item, detach the BOTTOM HALF of the tag, and bring it to checkout. Once you've paid for the item, you can either take it with you right away, or arrange to pick it up later that day. Make sure you check with an Assisted Moving associate, so that your name and contact info can be put on the part of the tag that's still on the item. You also may want to confirm a later pick-up time, if needed.

One more note:

Please only pull off the tag if you're going to buy the item. If you pull the tag and then later change your mind, immediately notify an Assisted Moving employee (we all wear name tags) so that we can re-tag the item and put it back in the sale.
